Dear Members of the Party and Those Interested in Joining:

I sought the chairmanship of the Mesa Democratic Party because of the wave of change and excitement our Party has seen in the last year. 

Our State has gone from red to blue and the reason is because the people of Colorado have chosen to stand up for what is right.  We believe in fair wages, the right of working people to organize, a strong public school system, a clean environment, the maintenance and protection of our public infrastructure, resources for rehabilitation of criminals, universal health care coverage, the protection of civil liberties, the right to privacy for women and reproductive choices, support of cultural and community amenities, the integrity and accessibility of the voting system, freedom of speech and press, freedom of religion, retirement benefits for our hard workers, the right to equal treatment regardless of race, religion, gender, age, disability or sexual orientation and the best possible care and treatment of our veterans.

We may have different ideas about how best to accomplish these goals but we do not waiver from our central belief that we are all equal and that we must stand up for and protect those who are unable to speak for themselves.

You are invited to join us.  Your opinions, ideas and visions are welcome.  This last election should be a reminder that this is the Party of inclusiveness, openness and change.  As new and innovative ideas are brought forth this Party will continue to grow for the benefit of all.

Over the next two years we want to elect more Democrats and support the Democrats in office.  Our Party continues to grow and strengthen.  If you share the same ideals then please join us!
