What: 4th of July Parade, and the prep for it.
When: July 4th
Where: Main St. Exact time and location still to be provided.
Come celebrate our nation's birthday with fellow
Democrats in the 4th of July Parade. Let's show Mesa County our new strength
in numbers. We need volunteers to march in the parade, to ride on the truck or trailer and to decorate it. The theme is "The Lincoln Bicentennial: 1809-2009"
Additional Details: We are unit 15 in the parade and our staging area is South of White on 9th. We need to be there @ 5PM, 5:30 at the latest. I ran into Paul and got his truck and trailer but we need to decorate it. I am thinking of using the parking lot at the storage facility behind Mountain West Office Products, at 1649 Main..
There is a lot to park cars there, our storage locker is there and when we bring people back, we can put the stuff away right there. It is a straight shot down Main to the staging area, too. I think if we meet there about 3 PM to decorate, then drive down with the folks, that could work.
